Pistachio Kernels

Pistachios are the seeds of the pistachio tree. Although they are called nuts, pistachios are botanically seeds. The exterior shells that protect them are hard, cream-colored and not edible. The kernels are the edible part, slightly sweet and can have different colors, ranging from yellow to shades of green.
