Persimmon

A persimmon is a fruit that grows on a variety of trees in the genus Diospyros. The most widely cultivated among these is the Diospyros kaki, or what is called “Asian persimmon”. When ripe, persimmons range in colour from light yellow to dark red-orange. They come in different sizes but their shape is mostly round.
